Principal's Message

Micheal Allers
Madison Primary School

Dear Parents,

Madison Primary School is a unique little school.  It is truly a place where every child’s name is well known, every child’s needs are addressed, and every child is welcomed at the beginning of every school day with anticipation by a well prepared, engaging, and smiling teacher.  These facts will not change for the 2013-2014 school year.  What has changed is what we collectively call our students.  Going forward, we, like all other Madison County Schools, will refer to our students as MOUNTAINEERS.  This is a change that reflects a unified vision, shared expectations for all Madison students, and is key to creating a formula that will pave the path on which every student we serve can find success.  We recognize that your child’s success is founded at the earliest levels of his/her education.  It is with this in mind that we join all Madison schools in a common purpose and a common mission.  We are all steadfast in our desire for every child in our charge to be able to meet the challenges of this 21st Century.  For the classes of 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027, our little school promises to do its part to make that desire a reality, however, for this endeavor to be a success it will require your partnership.

In 2012-2013, Madison Primary teachers held “FACE to FACE” conferences with 100% of the families we serve.   Truly a remarkable feat for any school community, but when you consider that it was our fifth straight year for accomplishing this endeavor, it can only be deemed INCONCEIVABLE!!!!  In addition, our Paws for Reading Nights overall attendance swelled to a grand total of 4985 people who joined us in celebration of the power and enjoyment that can only come from books.  And perhaps the greatest success of 2012-2013 was our community built and funded Kindergarten playground.   The accolades for these accomplishments are not exclusive to our teachers; they are shared with our amazing families.  The families we serve are undoubtedly the most supportive in Virginia.  Madison Primary teachers and families represent a truly astonishing and powerful partnership.  Our partnership is most certainly the envy of other schools.  Working together we have accomplished great things in the past, and we most assuredly will continue to do so well into the future.  Our collective efforts will definitely continue to be evident through your child’s successes in the 2013-2014.

We greatly look forward to the 2013-2014 school year knowing that every Madison Primary Mountaineer will be ready to achieve success academically and personally.  We will continue to partner with you and the Madison Primary community as we endeavor to build upon the successes we have seen over the last five years.  We know that our unique partnership is one from which we can expect the support that will ensure that Madison Primary School remains a place wherein every child is recognized and well known.  We realize that you place your trust in us, and we treasure every moment that we spend with your child.  Please know that we also treasure your support.  The Madison Primary Mountaineers, will do wondrous things this year if together we strive to provide them with the tools, support, environment, and guidance with which to do so.

“Mountaineers love blue and white, and they read every night!!!”
