The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation visited Waverly Yowell last week.  The students participated in an interactive presentation about the cultures of Jamestown in 1607. Numerous standards were touched on throughout the discussion.  However, the main focus was comparing and contrasting the different cultures, English, Native Americans, and African.  Children had the opportunity to assist and share their knowledge.  It is always a valuable experience for the students and brings hands-on learning to them.  Thanks also to the 4th grade teachers for organizing the event!
